Getting Braided Hair With Pretty Little Thing
We recently got our hair braided on the weekend when Sylvia and I attend the Curves Fashion Festival in Liverpool. We live in Lancashire and it was perfect timing as the event happened to be on my birthday. I’ve been wanting to get my hair done nicely all week but I have honestly been too unwell with a number of chronic health conditions and had no energy to sort my hair.
I didn’t let that stop me and off we went to the UK’s biggest fashion event for plus size women. We had an amazing time and I’ll be sharing much more about the event in the coming week. However today I wanted to share my experience and Sylvia’s of getting our hair done by Pretty Little Thing.
So, when we visited the Pretty Little Thing Stall we saw the girls braiding hair and it was something Sylvia and I were super excited to get involved with. We have never had our hair done together before so it was a real special experience.
Sylvia and I both sat in the lovely chairs whilst our hair was braided. John took some awesome photos and the highlight was Sylvia choosing glitter for her hair.
Sylvia chose a few different colours for her hair and I think it looked pretty awesome. I was so impressed.
We were given goodie bags at the start of our day and we received some fantastic pink plus size t-shirts from Pretty Little Thing. I love mine and Sylvia is going to use hers as a nighty. We also got some makeup and bits and pieces which are really awesome.
I really had fun getting my hair done by the staff at the Pretty Little Thing stall. We had a great time and it was really super fun.
It really made my day getting my hair done and is quite exciting as I recently decided to embark on a body positivity journey. Having our hair done was one step forward and something I think I’d love to do again.

Both of your hair looks fab! It really suits you.
I wouldn’t fancy washing the glitter and sparkles out though. hehehe
The glitter and sparkles were fun, however I opted just for braids as my arms hurt when I lift them high for hair washing etc. Sylvia on the other hand had no issues and it was washed out in a matter of moments.
