🥘 Star Ingredients

Celery sticks – the crunchy foundation of your snack bugs. I like to choose fresh, thick celery stalks because they hold fillings better and stay crisp even after sitting out on a party platter.
Peanut butter or mayo – both work as tasty “glue.” Peanut butter gives a sweet and nutty balance, while mayo offers a savoury twist. I’ve tested both versions and found that using a mix on a large platter keeps everyone happy, especially at kids’ parties.
Cucumber slices – perfect for wings or antennae. Cutting them thinly makes them easier for little hands to bite through, while thicker slices create sturdier shapes.
Fruits – cherries, blueberries, strawberries, grapes, passion fruit, and blackberries for colourful fruit bugs.

🔪 How To Make Fruit & Vegetable Bug Snacks

Step 1: Chop celery into small sticks. Next add peanut butter to the base of the celery.

Step 2: For the butterfly add strawberries slices for the wings and grapes for the body.

Step 3: Finally add antennas, candy eyes and black pupils.

Step 4: You can also make a. butterfly using strawberries and blueberries.

Step 5: For the next bug add a passionfruit body

Step 6: Add a blackberry head, almond wings and two antennas.

Step 7: For the peanut butter snail, add a slice of passionfruit.

Step 8: Use a grape for the snails head. Add antennas and eyes.

Step 9: For the caterpillar, add a cherry for the head and grapes for the body. Then add eyes and antennas.

Step 10: You can also make the same caterpillar using blueberries instead of grapes.

Step 11: For the cucumber snail, cut cucumber into a rectangle, add mayonaise. Roll a slice of cucumber into a shell and stick on the mayo base. Add a cherry for the snails head.

Step 12: Finally add antennas and eyes to your mayo snail. Place your veggie bugs on a plate ready to serve.
