🧑🎨 Expert Tips
- Role Play Prompt: Use the finished whale card as a conversation starter where the child pretends to be the whale giving Dad advice. This lighthearted role play adds meaning to the card.
- Theme Variation: Make a matching set of whale-themed cards for other family members. This gives kids a broader way to share appreciation using one familiar idea.
- Routine Breaker: Schedule the craft session as a midweek activity instead of a weekend one. This can add a fun surprise to a regular weekday, making it more memorable.
- Surprise Element: Turn the card into a game by hiding it somewhere for Dad to find. This playful delivery can make the card feel more exciting and engaging.
- Conversation Starter: After giving the card, ask Dad what kind of sea creature he’d be and why. This creates an easy, bonding moment sparked by the craft.
- Display Value: Encourage placing the finished card on a work desk or shelf, treating it like a small artwork. This boosts the child’s sense of pride and ownership.
