1. Choose a paper bag that is the right size for your hand. Cut out two eyes and a mouth from construction paper or felt. Glue them onto the paper bag.

2. Decorate the puppet with markers, crayons, or paint. You can also glue on pieces of fabric, yarn, or ribbon.

3. Put your hand inside the puppet and move it around to make the puppet talk.

Supplies Needed for Your Circus Craft

How to Make This Paper Bag Circus Craft

Here are the steps needed to make this fun paper bag circus craft.

Step 2: Print Out Your Circus Craft Template

Once you have downloaded the file, print it out onto white cardstock. Use this to draw the pieces onto card stock.

Step 3: Cut Out the Pieces of Your Circus Craft

Now it is time to cut out all the pieces of your circus craft.

Step 4: Glue the Ringmaster Outfit

Now it is time to glue your ringmaster outfit together. Take the white and black piece of card stock and glue onto your paper bag.

Step 5: Assemble the Waistcoat

Cut the two waistcoat pieces and glue them together. Next, glue the top piece of clothing to the either side of the paper bag as shown in the diagram.

Step 6: Assemble the Ringmaster Face

Glue the head and face onto your ringmaster’s body.

Step 7: Add the Hat and Moustache

Finally add the hat, nose and moustache to your circus ringmaster and the black bowtie.

Step 8: Finishing Touches

Add finishing touches using your black marker pen.

Your ringmaster is now complete. What a fun circus themed craft to make with the kids. You can use this at circle time, as part of a story or even create a whole series of circus themed puppets. Enjoy.
