Finding out the gender of the baby is so exciting. Friends and family members have already taken bets, made their decisions, and are ready to find out the gender. A gender reveal is the perfect way to let everyone know at once.
Not only is this a fun baby shower activity, but it's a great way to share your pregnancy adventures with those who love and support you.

🔪How to Make Gender Reveal With Oreos
Line a baking sheet with waxed paper.
Melt candy coating according to package directions. If the candy is too thick to pour, add 1 teaspoon coconut oil or vegetable shortening.
Stir well. Do not add water. You can add up to 1 tablespoon of coconut oil per bag of candy wafers.
Dip each cookie into melted candy. Remove cookie, tapping gently against the side of the bowl, allowing excess candy to return to the bowl. If air bubbles form, pop them with a toothpick.
Place the cookie onto the waxed paper.
Allow to set completely before proceeding to the next step.
To speed the process, cookies can be refrigerated or placed in the freezer in a single layer.
Transfer melted candy coating to a piping bag or a zip top freezer bag with the corner snipped.
Create solid lines of an alternating color across the cookie in stripes.
Allow cookie to set completely at room temperature or refrigerate for faster results.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
Your Oreo pops are now ready! These will be the highlight of your baby shower!
Enjoy!
How to Use Them as a Gender Reveal
These oreo pops are quite versatile and can be used in a number of different ways to reveal the gender of the baby. Here's how I would do it:
- Give guests a skewer with one pink and one blue Oreo.
- Allow them to eat the color they believe the baby is. So if they think it's a boy, they eat the blue one with pink stripes. If they think it's a girl, they eat the pink one with blue stripes.
- To reveal the gender of the baby, simply have a vase hidden with Oreos of all the same color.
- If it is a girl, you should have a vase with all pink Oreos with blue stripes, and if it's a boy, you should have a vase of Oreos with all blue Oreos with pink stripes.
- Bring out the vase and see who ate the right cookie!
- Have fun!

💖 Serving Suggestions
These are my favorite treats to serve with Oreo pops at a baby shower:
- Mini Cupcakes: Cute, bite-sized cupcakes add a sweet touch without overwhelming guests.
- Fruit Skewers: Colorful fruit on sticks offer a refreshing contrast to the rich chocolate.
- Cheese and Cracker Platter: A selection of cheeses with crunchy crackers balances the sweetness.
- Sparkling Lemonade: A fizzy, citrusy drink cleanses the palate and adds a festive flair.
