Are you looking for a list of unique names for boys? I’ve compiled a great list of unique boys names to give you some ideas.
This week I had some exciting news: My aunty is expecting a baby! It’s rather exciting and of course we got talking about names.

CHOOSING A NAME FOR YOUR BABY
I recall when I was trying to decide what to call my baby, my husband and I could never agree. If I loved the name, he hated it.
When he loved the name, I simply could not get my head around it.
In the end we had a daughter, not a son, and we eventually agreed upon the beautiful name of Sylvia.
One top tip I’d give when choosing your baby name is not to let others persuade you or talk you out of it. I had people tell me they did not like my child’s name, but it was my choice.
The name eventually grew on everyone and I’m so glad I went with my gut and chose the baby name for my child that I wanted. Remember these tips when choosing a name for your baby:
- Consider your family heritage and culture.
- Don’t let current trends decide or be influenced by others’ opinions.
- Avoid names that are too common and stick with one that is memorable.
- Make sure the name fits with your surname.

If I were blessed to have a son one day, I’d call my baby Gordon after my father. I love the name Gordon. It’s quite old fashioned, like my daughter’s name Sylvia, and I guess I am a fan of old fashioned names.
The list could go on but the baby boy names above are a great starting place. Hopefully this list inspires you. Good luck in choosing a name for your baby boy!
