For this simple card for mom, you’ll need the following supplies:

  • scissors
  • green string/yarn
  • colored cardstock – various colors or designs
  • ink pen/marker
  • glue

How to Make a Super Easy Mother’s Day Card

Once you have the simple supplies gathered, it’s time to get started making this easy craft! The good news is that the steps are fast and easy – perfect for all ages to help.

Grab any piece of colored paper or cardstock. We used pink, but you can literally use any color that you want. Fold it in half to make a card.

Next, start cutting out various shapes, sizes, and colors of hearts. You can make them bigger and smaller so that you can layer them.

Put one heart in the middle, and then place a smaller heart inside of it.

Repeat this process with varying sizes, colors, and designs of the hearts so that they cover the width of the page.

Grab the green string, and cut it into shorter lengths. These are going to act like balloon strings, hanging off the hearts.

Glue the strings to the bottom of the hearts and let the glue dry.

You can add a few more hearts if you’d like so that it looks like a page full of heart balloons.

Use the marker or pen and write “Happy Mother’s Day!” on the front of the card.

What Is a Good Message to Write Inside a Mother’s Day Card?

This is where anyone can really personalize this card. The empty space on the inside of the card is the perfect way to tell mom that you care.
