- Step 1: Grab any piece of colored paper or cardstock. We used pink, but you can literally use any color that you want. Fold it in half to make a card.
- Step 2: Next, start cutting out various shapes, sizes, and colors of hearts. You can make them bigger and smaller so that you can layer them.
- Step 3: Put one heart in the middle, and then place a smaller heart inside of it.
- Step 4: Repeat this process with varying sizes, colors, and designs of the hearts so that they cover the width of the page.
- Step 5: Grab the green string, and cut it into shorter lengths. These are going to act like balloon strings, hanging off the hearts.
- Step 6: Glue the strings to the bottom of the hearts and let the glue dry.
- Step 7: You can add a few more hearts if you'd like so that it looks like a page full of heart balloons.
- Step 8: Use the marker or pen and write "Happy Mother's Day!" on the front of the card.

🧑🎨 Expert Tips
- Smooth Base: Sand the wood surface carefully with fine-grit sandpaper before painting to ensure a splinter-free, even finish.
- Guided Outlines: Lightly trace the fox face features with pencil first to get cleaner, more proportionate lines before painting.
- Quick Bonding: Use fast-drying craft glue to speed up the assembly process and help small pieces stay firmly attached.
- Thin Paint Layers: Apply multiple thin coats instead of one thick layer to prevent streaks, smudges, or uneven drying.
- Organized Workspace: Place all small decorative parts on a tray or plate to avoid losing tiny pieces while crafting.
- Clean Surface: Use a handheld vacuum to clear away sanding dust, keeping the wood clean for better paint adhesion.
