🖌️ How To Make This Mr Knox Bubble Wrap Craft
- Step 1: Download the Mr. Knox template. Cover your surface in newspaper or something to protect the surface from paint messes.
- Step 2: Use a paintbrush to cover the bubble wrap (bubble side up) with pink paint.
- Step 3: Gently put the bubble wrap (painted side down) onto a piece of white cardstock. Gently press the bubble wrap onto the paper. Don’t press too hard or you’ll have a giant smudge instead of little pink circles.
- Step 4: Lift the bubble wrap up off the cardstock and allow the paint to dry completely. This step is especially important because you will be running this paper through your printer and you do not want to cause any damage. Repeat this step with yellow paint.
- Step 5: Open the Mr. Knox template. Print the shirt collar onto the pink painted paper you created and the shirt onto the yellow painted paper. Print the eyes on white paper and Mr. Knox on yellow paper. You could also print this on white paper and color the pieces in.
- Step 6: Cut all the pieces out. Assemble the pieces and glue them onto bright colored paper. This craft is a bit large so you’ll need to glue two sheets of cardstock together.

🧑🎨 Expert Tips
- Weigh Down Edges: Use small paperweights or clips on the bubble wrap edges so it stays flat while kids apply color evenly without shifting.
- Use Small Paint Portions: Offer paint in small trays or sections to avoid overuse and keep surface coverage more controlled for better results.
- Have Smocks Ready: Equip children with easy-to-wear smocks or aprons to reduce cleanup time and avoid stained clothing during the activity.
- Rotate Color Roles: Let each child start with a different paint color so everyone contributes uniquely without waiting on shared supplies.
- Prepare Drying Boards: Lay completed prints on labeled boards or trays for drying so they don’t touch each other or stick to table surfaces.
- Practice Pressing Motions: Let children rehearse the press-and-lift technique on a practice sheet to get a feel for applying just enough pressure.
