I just love Halloween because its the perfect time to get creative and make things I never have before. The great thing about making things for Halloween is that if you totally fail, you can just call it a zombie cookie, and nobody will know the difference.
These Halloween Frankenstein Cookies are perfect for after school snacks, classroom parties, and fun Halloween parties.

Ingredients for Your Halloween Frankenstein Cookies
FOR THE COOKIES:
- 1 stick butter, softened
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 cups a/p flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- Pinch salt
- ½ teaspoon Kelly green gel food coloring
FOR DECORATING:
- 2-3 oz. white fondant
- 1-2 oz. black fondant
- Wilton tip #12

🔪 How To Make Halloween Frankenstein Cookies
- Step 1: In a large bowl, cream together butter, sugar, and egg.
- Step 2: In a small bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Step 3: Add dry ingredients into wet ingredients and mix - cookie dough will start to form.
- Step 4: As the dough starts to take shape, add gel food coloring. Knead with your hands until the dough is formed and completely tinted by the food coloring. Wrap in plastic and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Step 5: Roll out white fondant so that it’s about ¼ of an inch thick.Use the base of Wilton #12 to cut out 30-48 white fondant circles (depending on how many cookies you’ve baked - 2 white fondant circles are needed per cookie).
- Step 6: Next, roll out black fondant so that it’s about ¼ of an inch thick. Use tip of Wilton #12 to cut out 30-48 black fondant circles, depending on how many cookies have been baked.
- Step 7: Place one black fondant circle on each white fondant circle. Dot black decorating frosting on the back of each fondant “eye” piece. Place two on each cookie.
- Step 8: Attach Wilton tip #3 on black decorating frosting and draw a smile on each cookie. Knead remaining black and white fondant together to blend a piece of fondant that’s grey in color. Roll out spheres, about ¼ of an inch in size. Flatten slightly.
- Step 9: Dot black decorating frosting on each flattened grey fondant sphere and attach one on each side of the cookie. Attach Wilton tip #233 on black decorating frosting and frost hair on each cookie.
- Step 10: Your Frankenstein cookies are ready for the Halloween party. Enjoy!

- Remove dough from the fridge and roll with a rolling pin until it’s about ¼ of an inch thick. Cut dough into squares, about 2 inches x 2 inches in size. Place on a lined baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven (375 degrees F) for about 7-8 minutes.
- Allow cooling before decorating.
