My family loves donuts including Valentines’ donuts. In fact, it’s something I remember going to the bus station with my mum as a little girl and buying donuts as a treat before our journey home on the bus.

It something we did often. That was a long time ago but there was a lovely bakery at the bus station and we would always stop to find a tasty donut treat. I now buy donuts for my daughter and she too loves them!

Today I am sharing this fantastic and fun idea to create Velvet Valentines Donuts.

These are perfect as a Valentines’ gift, valentines treat or maybe even just for fun. You might also want to try making a Valentine’s heart suncatcher craft as you enjoy your valentines donuts.

How to Make Valentines Donuts

Mix the Red Velvet Cake Mix according to the box.

Spray donut pan with cooking spray.

Pour donut mix into a measuring cup for easy pouring.

Pour the donut mix into the donut pan, making sure not to fill all the way to the top.

Bake for 12-15 minutes at 350 degrees. Let cool for 5 minutes.

Melt pink and white candy melts separately in microwave or with this Wilton Melting Pot.

Dip some of the top of the donuts in the white candy melts and some in the pink melts.

Top with sprinkles and let the melts harden for 5 minutes.

Your all done! What a tasty Valentines treat!
