Tips for Making Chicken Chili in the Crockpot
Using cubed chicken breast is such a great texture for this chili recipe. Some people like to shred or chop up their chicken but I prefer it cubed so that I have more of a chunk to chew on.
Ingredients Needed to Make Slow Cooker Chicken Chili
- 2 chicken breasts, cut into cubes
- 3 cans white beans, drained
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups frozen corn
- 2 fresh poblano peppers, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 tablespoons garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 8 oz sour cream
- 2 tablespoons dry cilantro
How to Make Slow Cooker Chili With Chicken
Mash one can of beans in the slow cooker then add the remaining cans left whole
Stir in broth, corn, poblano, onion, garlic, oregano, and cayenne until well combined
Add chicken cubes
Cover and cook on low 5-6 hours
At the last 30 minutes stir in sour cream and cilantro
Serve and enjoy!
