More than having access to high-quality skincare products is required: Applying them in the recommended sequence will maximise their efficacy. Time of day, skin type, product ingredients, and formulations play a role in how you should care for your skin.

However, since thinner products won’t be able to soak up thicker ones, it’s generally best to apply them in the reverse order.

The order in which you apply your skincare products like dior hk makes a big difference, whether you have a three-step or nine-step routine. Whatever your skin’s needs may be, you should always begin with a clean, toned base, apply concentrated, active ingredients, and finally, seal in moisture—and, of course, SPF during the day. The basic steps of a proper skincare routine are as follows:

Get some facial cleansing soap and wash your face.

It would be best to wash your face twice a day, in the morning and before bed, by rinsing it with water and then rubbing a small amount of mild cleansing. Apply the cleanser to your face and gently massage it in. You can find great skin care products and devices when you shop for face factory items to help take care of your face.

Once you’ve finished washing your face, rinse your hands and face thoroughly with water using a massaging motion to remove any remaining cleanser and dirt. Make sure to use a soft towel to pat dry your face.

Makeup wearers may need to cleanse their faces twice before bed. Cleansing oil or micellar water can be used to remove makeup first. To remove eye makeup without rubbing your eyes, try leaving eye-makeup removers for a few minutes. In the end, give your entire face a nice, gentle wash.

Use a toner

Apply toner after washing your face but before any other skincare steps. Use a cotton pad or your palms to apply a small toner to your face, then wipe it off. Use it only at night if your toner contains dead skin-removing ingredients like glycolic acid. You can use a hydrating formula twice daily. Retinoids and other exfoliators should not be used alongside exfoliating toner.

Use the Serum.

Antioxidant serums, such as a brightening vitamin C serum, are best applied in the morning because they protect the skin from free radicals that will be present throughout the day. Anti-ageing and acne treatments can irritate and dry out the skin, so it’s important to use a moisturising serum with hyaluronic acid before bed to prevent further drying.

Exfoliants like alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) and lactic acid can be found in serums. Keep in mind, regardless of the tool you’re employing: Serums with a water base should be applied before moisturiser, and those with an oil base should be applied afterwards.

Put on eye cream.

While a regular moisturiser can be used around the eyes, specialised eye creams are typically applied as a second layer on top of regular moisturisers because they are much thinner. One method for reducing morning puffiness is to apply eye cream with a metal roller-ball applicator after it has been chilled overnight. If you use an eye cream that contains moisturiser at night, you may wake up with puffy eyes.

Apply spot treatment.

Use acne spot treatments at night when your body is in repair mode. Avoid using retinol with other potentially irritating acne treatments, such as benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid. Instead, you should take all necessary measures to maintain a calm and hydrated complexion.

Use a Moisturiser.

Moisturizer serves two purposes: hydrates the skin and keeps the other products from rubbing off. It would be best if you were looking for lightweight lotions with an SPF of 30 or higher in the morning. It’s fine to switch to a heavier night cream at night. Those who have dry skin should consider applying a moisturiser twice a day.

Retinoid should be used.

Although retinoid (a group of vitamin A derivatives that includes retinol) are effective in diminishing the appearance of wrinkles, blemishes, and other skin flaws by speeding up the skin’s natural renewal process, they can be irritating to those with particularly delicate skin.

You should only apply retinoid at night because they degrade in the sunlight. Sunscreen is essential because it also increases your skin’s sun sensitivity.

Apply Oil on Your Face.

If you use a face oil, put it on last because it will prevent other skincare products from penetrating your skin.

Put on sunscreen.

Even though it’s the last step in the process, most dermatologists agree that protecting the skin from the sun is crucial. Skin cancer and the visible effects of ageing can be avoided by taking precautions against sun exposure.

You should still use sunscreen, even if your moisturiser does not have SPF. You should wait 20 minutes after applying a chemical sunscreen before venturing outdoors. Try to find a sunscreen with a high SPF that also blocks
