Recently Sylvia and I picked out a new dress from Debenhams as most of her favourite dresses have grown too small.

Yes, you wouldn’t think it but my daughter has had so many growth spurts recently and so we have passed on many of her smaller size clothes to my sister for my nieces in New Zealand.

I have to say Yumi is my favourite brand for girls dresses. They sell them in a number of stores from Debenhams to House of Fraser and John Lewis.

I have to admit if I was not a blogger I don’t think we would have so many nice clothes and I certainly could not afford to buy more than one beautiful dress each year so being a blogger is truly a blessing for us.

At the moment Sylvia and I have a thing for pink. We found this dress and we both loved the white embroidery against the pink material.

I loved the fact the dress has a fasten belt and I love the pleats on the top half of the dress.

I think this is a lovely dress to wear on a special day out, to a wedding for a special occasion. For us, it would make a great dress for church.

So Sylvia tried on her new dress. We drove the street in the village that we live hoping to find a brick wall or another nice location for some photos.

We found an open field and so we pulled up and took some snaps.

It’s not always easy to get my daughter to smile for a picture. You’d think she always smiles but just like any child she has many different moods.

To help Sylvia to take some nice shots we played the game Simon says and that’s how we brought how her natural smile.

I find playing action games when taking pictures makes it easy to take nice pictures rather than saying stand still and pose.

Sometimes we play Simon says, sometimes we pretend to be animals but it works and makes my daughter laugh and then we get the perfect shots.

I really do love this YUMI dress. I love the style and the fit and having a favourite dress means I can order any pattern and know it will fit my daughter well.

I’m ending with a photo of me and Sylvia. I don’t take my own photo too often.

After all, I don’t get out much and my hair is just in need of some serious care but I love this and although Sylvia’s eyes are closed I wanted to share.
