I’m a huge fan of being frugal and making your own products. Not only is it a great way to save money and learn new skills, but it’s also always nice to have homemade soap in the bathroom. It’s also really thoughtful when you put effort into a gift which is made in the home rather than store-bought.

Ingredients For Strawberry Heart Soaps

Supplies:

  • ¼ lb melt and pour soap base
  • 1 drop red liquid soap dye
  • 10 drops strawberry soap fragrance
  • Small glass bowl
  • Spoon
  • Small silicone heart mold

Stir very well. If the mixture is not completely melted, put on for another 10 seconds.

Step 2. Stir the liquid soap dye and soap fragrance into the bowl.

Step 3. Spoon the mixture into the silicone mold.

Your soap is now ready to wrap and gift. You may want to try different molds, colours or even different fragrances to make unique and easy soaps for the home.

Top Tip:

I really hope you enjoyed this simple tutorial. The first time I attempted to make soap I used the wrong kind of container which melted in the microwave and stunk the whole kitchen out.

To avoid this make sure you use products designed for the microwave!
