Pocahontas Sylvia’s Style Featuring Next
Today on Sylvia’s Style we are sharing our Pocahontas Photoshoot. Sylvia and I are big fans of Pocahontas and we love to sing the song “Colours of the wind”. We began by choosing a dress that Pocahontas might wear. Sylvia has a brown buttoned dress from Next which was the perfect look for the style we wanted.

We were given this dress as a hand me down and I absolutely love it. I love the buttons and the round neck collar.
The headpiece was a gift I bought Sylvia last year for Christmas. I absolutely loved this when I spotted it in Claire’s and bought it in 5 items for £5 sale. The feathers really work well and work with the dress to create the authentic Pocahontas look.
We purchased the shoes from Asda last year and they are Sylvia’s current favourite pair. She likes to wear sandals a lot when she is out and about.
We found some beautiful flowers on our street and Sylvia had a photo with the flower tub. She thought it would be a great picture and she thought right. I love this photo.
We really had a lot of fun. Dressing up in different outfits can be fun and especially when we can make it into a Disney themed outfit. Sylvia had a lot of fun and it was fun taking photos and shots of this style.
I’m so pleased to have a wonderful kind and loving daughter. Sylvia is some ways reminds me of Pocahontas, she has many of the same qualities, for example, her love of singing, nature and animals.
In the movie, Pocahontas says, “I’d rather die tomorrow than live a hundred years without knowing you.” That’s how I feel about my child. She is the best thing that ever happened to me and I love being a Mother.
At one point I lost my child. She was taken away and I was torn into pieces. She was returned eventually and I cherish every moment we have together. Sylvia is my world. She has a beautiful heart.
I love being able to spend time with my daughter. Dressing up is fun, creating new styles and looks is always enjoyable and we hope you like our Pocahontas Style today.
