There’s no escaping the fact that technology plays a bigger role than ever before and kids are using devices far sooner. While they’ll naturally learn how to use YouTube and games sites, you can help them do more. From teaching the Chromecast setup for Mac to using MS Office, those skills pay dividends in later life. Embrace them at an early age.

Today’s kids are more advanced than any other generation in a host of life aspects. However, many suffer from poor social development due to fewer interactions with kids and adults. Whether on foot or a bicycle, kids needs to be safe on the roads. Teaching should go beyond the simple idea of waiting for the green light. You also need to ensure that your child doesn’t step out from behind cars and other blind spots.

Empathy and the ability to understand how other people think is a key attribute in life. One of the best ways to encourage it in a winning way is to get a pet. The added responsibility will encourage your kid to think about the pet’s perspective while also satisfying its needs. Those skills can translate to human interactions for telling returns.

If you plan to use the idea of chores, you’ll already be teaching the value of money. However, it’s equally important to set budgets such as how much they can spend on sweets, in-App purchases, and other small purchases.
