Shrimp is always one of those quick and easy meal options. Whether it is grilled, made with pasta or put into a boil, shrimp is something you can whip up in a breeze. A traditional shrimp boil is made with fresh shrimp, potatoes, corn, and sausage all boiled in a flavorful broth. However, the potatoes can take quite a bit of time to soften in a traditional boil. That’s why this Instant Pot Shrimp Boil recipe is perfect for feeding the crowds in a jiffy. Your Instant Pot will have these potatoes soft in just 8 minutes. And, everyone will love this flavorful dish.

Instant Pot Shrimp Boil Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon oil of choice
  • 6 medium potatoes, diced1 onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 4 cobs corn, split in three
  • 6 sausage links, chopped
  • 2 cups water or beer
  • 3 Tablespoons Old Bay seasoning
  • 2 cups shrimp

How to Make an Instant Pot Shrimp Boil

Place oil in IP and set it to the saute setting.


Once oil is hot, add the onion and cook for two minutes.


Stir in the garlic and cook for one minute before turning off the IP. Add the sausages

Then, add the potatoes and corn.

Add the Old Bay seasoning and the water.


Secure lid and select manual setting for 8 minutes. Quick-release.


Add shrimp and cook for an additional minute on the manual setting. Quick-release.
