Over the years I’ve had a few trips to London both on my own and with family members. One of the things I’ve enjoyed is discovering the best places to eat in London as a family. Eating out while in London can be fun and a great experience for all. Today I’ll be sharing some tips and tricks for finding affordable places to eat Italian meals while visiting London.

Eating Out in London

Whether on holiday or on a trip for work, you ‘re going to get hungry and will need to find somewhere to eat. Eating out in London is very expensive and can cost a fortune, so it’s best to try and look for places that offer good value for money and look for the best restaurant deals in London.

First of all, I recommend searching online or using apps like TripAdvisor or Google Maps to get an idea of the Italian restaurants in the area you are staying. One of the best ways to save money eating out in London would be to invest in a tastecard membership.

tastecard is a membership program that gives you access to different restaurants in the UK at discounted prices.

For family meals I would recommend checking out chain restaurants such as Prezzo, Zizzi or Bella Italia which usually have great deals and discounts. These eateries around London offer delicious cuisine at reasonable prices and with a tastecard membership you’ll be able to feed the family in London for a fraction of the price.

St Martins Lane Prezzo

Prezzo Italian Restaurant St Martin’s Lane is an authentic Italian restaurant near Leicester Square. Located between Leicester Square and Covent Garden, the restaurant is perfect for family meals.

Prezzo has a great range of delicious Italian cuisine at reasonable prices and with a tastecard membership you can save up to 50% with 2 for 1 on starters, mains and desserts.

Prezzo is a great restaurant in the heart of London, It’s close to the West End, and would make a great place to dine before visiting the theatre or movies as a family.

Whether you’re wanting a margherita pizza, antipasto and wine or some spaghetti and meatballs, you’re sure to find something for everyone in the family at Prezzo.

Bella Italia in the Heart of the West End

Whilst visiting London to watch the West End Musical Wicked, my family visited Bella Italia which was a fantastic experience.

Bella Italia is a restaurant that offers delicious cuisine in the heart of London’s theatre and cinema district. With a varied menu and generous portions, Bella Italia is sure to be a hit with both adults and kids alike.

When I went to Bella Italia, I had a Pollo Cacciatore dish which was amazing. I’d totally recommend it. Bella Italia has an open kitchen creating a homely atmosphere and with a tastecard membership you can save up to 50% by buying 2 for 1 meals.

It’s a great way to save and you’ll feel full and ready for your evening or day out in London. For those wanting affordable family dining in London, Bella Italia is the place to go for sure!

Zizzi London the O2

If you’re looking for an affordable Italian restaurant in London near the River Thames then try Zizzi at the O2.

Zizzi is the ideal spot for having a meal before or after enjoying your favorite music, sports, comedy, or entertainment at the O2 Arena. It’s also conveniently located for those who have crossed the River Thames on the Emirates Air Line cable car.

What I love about Zizzi is that this restaurant has a seasonal menu and it’s perfect for families and individuals with nutritional needs such as vegetarian, vegan and non gluten.

Zizzi has a range of pizza, pasta, risotto and salads and some amazing Italian desserts. Zizzi has a popular Bambini kids menu making meals more affordable and if you have a tastecard membership you can get 2 for 1 deals on starters, mains and desserts!

That will make the cost of eating out in London much more affordable or you can try a range of dishes much cheaper than you’d expect.

Find Affordable Restaurants in London

So whether you’re looking for a romantic dinner with your partner, a family lunch or just some snacks and drinks with friends, Zizzi is the perfect Italian restaurant in London. Whereas Bella Italia is a great West End location to dine and Prezzo is also great as a place to dine when sightseeing.

And…if you’re staying in other locations in London, there are more than one of these restaurant chains located in different parts of the city, making it a great affordable stop off for a family meal!
