13 Creative Veggies Ideas For The Family

Eating vegetables is something all kids need to do but it’s not always as simple as dishing them up on the plate and saying, hey ho off you go, eat up your veg. I remember my little brother refusing his vegetables. My special needs brother, (although he is now 24) still hates veg and my daughter Sylvia sometimes complains and moans although she is always encouraged to eat all the vegetables we dish up.

So how do I get around filling my daughter up on vegetables and goodness? Well, sometimes I hide the veg in a meal. We grate up carrot and it is less noticeable and adds lots of yummy flavours to dishes so the veg tastes good. The other way is to create fun and creative veggie ideas which encourage snacking on edible art vegetables. Today I have created a list of vegetable ideas to share. Which do you like the most?

I love the love heart cucumbers and tomatoes. I also love the vegetable train I created last year. It’s been a big hit on Pinterest! What do you think?

These ideas are so cute! My boys would love the veggie train. I love the hearts. Sneaking vegetables into other food is always a good option. I put spinach in smoothies!

So much fun! I love the bell pepper train! I’ve always fancied trying my hand at carving tomatoes like some people do, so pretty!

haha they look great. I’m now a big fan of vegetables but I would definitely try some if they are served like this. Will try serving them to the kids like this to see if they will like them. Sometimes it’s a real problem to get them to try some.
