The last three weeks for my family have been pretty hectic as we’ve been moving house and trying to get the home organised in time for Christmas. Luckily my mum is staying in Yorkshire and she was able to come over and give us a hand with the unpacking and my dad helped John to shift the furniture.

I’m so glad the move is over with. We had a week without gas and heating which was really difficult but the gas came on and the house is now warm. We have had the toilet fixed, the cooker connected and John has laid the carpet in our bedroom.

We went to Carpet right to choose some carpet for the lounge, hall and stairs. We have laminate from the old house to put down in the spare room and Sylvia is having a raspberry red carpet. The new carpets all arrived yesterday and are stacked on the stairs.

The kitchen and bathroom floors have flooring, which I don’t like but they will have to do for now. These floors are old and crusty but maybe we can replace those in 2017. That’s a project for next year! Exciting! For now we are sorting the bedrooms, hall stairs and lounge.

I’m currently in London. I had a few blogging events to attend and a visit to my Endocrinologist in London so, John is home with Sylvia and the dogs working on the carpets while I’ve been catching up on the blog.

It’s not been easy as we had two weeks with no internet. To add to this my computer was accidently broken and is currently in a shop to get fixed. If it can be fixed! I have been doing my work from the cellphone and that has not been easy.

My goal for the rest of the year is to finish off the few reviews we have left to write. I have one sponsored post and some Christmas and festive posts I’d like to write. Then I will be taking a week off at Christmas. I am going to spend time with the family and enjoy a week to ourselves.

I can’t wait for the carpets to be laid and can’t wait to share our before and after photos and have the week off at Christmas.

    1. Thanks Anosa. London was good. I did have to rest a lot in between events but I expected that. The lounge carpet is done but we are waiting for the stairs and landing to be done as we need a non-rainy day to cut the carpet to size.
