How to Make Star Wars Popcorn Tutorial

One of my daughter’s all time favourite snacks is popcorn.  Valentines Day is approaching and Sylvia and I thought it would be great to make some super cool Star Wars Popcorn. We haven’t seen this done before but simply came up with the idea ourselves and it turned out pretty good.

You will need popcorn and, magic stars, white chocolate and silver pearls.

Making Star Wars Popcorn was not very expensive. Popcorn kernels can cost around One pound in the local Asda store and we purchased a bar of white chocolate, some Milky way stars and used some silver pearls which were already in the baking cupboard.

My husband bought me a lovely new Bowl for valentines. It cost £2.99 from a local store and I will be using this a lot in the future a a blog post prop.

So we began by popping the popcorn. This was one of Sylvia’s favourite parts, watching the kernels pop. We heated the pan up and added some olive oil. Once the pan was sizzling we placed in the popcorn and the lid and watched the action.

Once the popcorn was ready, Sylvia broke up the white chocolate into a microwaveable bowl and we melted it in the microwave. You can melt chocolate in the microwave or in a pan but we opted for the microwave as I find that easier and it doesn’t burn.

We then prepared the chocolate stars and silver pearls. Sylvia was really excited by this point and could not wait to create her star wars popcorn mix.

We poured the white chocolate over the popcorn to make it sticky and tasty. We had never had popcron with chocolate on before but it tasted really nice.

Sylvia then added the stars and then the silver balls. This was then mixed around quickly before the chocolate became solid again and set.

Once our Star Wars Popcorn was ready we added it to our lovely valentines bowl as a gift for Daddy.

Being the Star Wars Geek that John is, Sylvia found some Star Wars Characters and we took a few photos so we could create a fantastic Pinterest collage.

Sylvia was wearing her Apron from the Arty Apple and we used our star themed table cloth from Messy Me.

It was super fun making the Star Wars popcorn and quite a bit of work to get some fantastic photos but we managed to achieve our goals and the images turned out great in the end.
