Why A Fidget Toy Makeover
A fidget toy makeover is the perfect way to breathe new life into your kids’ favorite gadgets while sparking their creativity! Over time, fidget toys can get worn out or lose their appeal, but a quick makeover transforms them into something fresh and exciting.
It’s also a fun and inexpensive way to keep your kids entertained—especially on rainy days or during school breaks. Plus, giving their fidget toys a personalized touch makes them feel unique and special. Whether it’s painting, decorating, or adding new textures, a fidget toy makeover is a simple way to combine creativity, fun, and functionality!
What You Need and How to Make It
First, the resource we need is all your little one’s fidgets or maybe his or her favorite one. We will use the fidget toy that he or she usually plays with and turn it into a yogurt mold. I used a Moonkie butterfly fidget toy, but you can pick yours at your convenience.
Second, pick your baby’s favorite flavored Greek-style yogurt. I recommend peach, blueberry, and strawberry, which are such a delight to my baby’s appetite.
Last but not least, a snack cup to serve frozen yogurt pops for your baby to grab and enjoy.
Here’s how to make these frozen yogurt pops:
Step One: Clean the fidget toy you’re going to use as a mold as it will be in contact with the yogurt, make sure it’s thoroughly clean. Place the toy on a flat surface like a baking sheet, which makes it easier to move into the freezer.
Step Two: Pour the yogurt into the fidget toy. It comes out better looking with yogurt spreading out evenly in each pop. For added flavor, small pieces of fruit like strawberries, blueberries, or banana slices on top will be a delight.
Step 3: Let the fidget sit in the refrigerator for 4+ hours until the yogurt is fully frozen and shaped into pops.
Step 4: Remove the pops from the fidget and ta-daaaaah! The butterfly pops are just adorable! Serve it in the snack cup and pretty sure your little one can’t stop grabbing a bite.
Baby Bonding Activity
This snacktivity is also a fun baby bonding process. Getting your little one involved in every step, for example, pressing the fidget and waiting for the yogurt to freeze, will give them a sense of anticipation. It can also help with the baby’s hands-on and communication ability.
In a Nutshell
It is a good trick to get your picky eater to try and taste new foods. The approach here is to make food fun by allowing your child to help with meal preparation.
