I remember watching The Incredible Hulk as a child. In fact, I had a friend, (a boy) and his bedroom was full of action figures including The Incredible Hulk.
I can still remember playing together acting out superhero scenes, 30 years later!
Soon it will be Super Hero Day and we have a fun and fantastic Incredible Hulk Food Activity which I am sure will go down well at home or at a Super Hero Party!
Enjoy.

🌈 Substitutions and Variations
- Cereal Swap: Use cornflakes or puffed rice instead of Rice Krispies for a different texture and crunch.
- Natural Green Hue: If you're out of green food coloring, use spinach powder or matcha to give a natural green tint.
- Candy Melt Alternatives: No purple candy melts? Mix white chocolate with a drop of red and blue food coloring to create your own purple.
🔪How to Make These Super Hero Treats
Coat a 9x9 square pan with 2 tablespoon of butter and set aside.
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt 3 tablespoon butter and add all of your marshmallows.
Stir until the marshmallow is completely melted.
Color marshmallow mix with green food coloring and add rice cereal.
Mix until thoroughly combined.
Evenly pat your cereal treats to the base of your coated pan.
You can use a piece of wax paper to smooth it out (and so that your hands don’t get too sticky).
Allow for it to set (about one hour) and cut into rectangles. Line a baking sheet with wax paper.
Microwave your purple candy melts and 2 teaspoon of coconut oil in 30-second intervals until melted.
Dip the bottom of each of your cereal treats (about ¼ of the way up) and set on the lined baking sheet.
Microwave your black candy melts and 1 teaspoon of coconut oil in 30-second intervals until melted.
Dip the top of each of your cereal treats and add sprinkles.
This will act as the Hulk’s disheveled hair.
Using your black buttercream, stick on the candy eyes on the green portion of the cereal treats.
Draw black buttercream lines above the candy eyes – these will act as the Hulk’s angry eyebrows.
Hulk smash! Enjoy this angry treats!
👩🍳 Expert Tips
- Use a small cookie scoop to roll the cookie dough into 2" balls for uniform size and even baking.
- Generously frost each cookie to ensure the marshmallow "hammer" adheres well and adds to the fun presentation.
- Customize the frosting color by adding a few drops of gel food coloring to match your party's theme or your kids' favorite colors.
💭 FAQs
Keep them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. If it's warm out, consider refrigerating them to prevent the candy melts from getting too soft.
Sure! Just add a bit of coconut oil to your melted chocolate to get that smooth, dippable consistency.
That depends on the rice cereal you use. Some brands are gluten-free, so check the label to be sure.
Absolutely! They're perfect to make a day or two in advance. Just store them properly, and they'll be ready to smash at party time!
