This Mango Salsa is a vibrant and refreshing mix of sweet mango, zesty lime, and a kick of jalapeño! It’s the perfect topping for tacos, grilled fish, or simply served with chips. Fresh, flavorful, and super easy to make, this salsa will brighten up any meal!
Dice up mango, red onion, red pepper, and jalapeno into small chunks. In a large bowl mix together diced mango, red onion, red pepper, and jalapeno.
Cut 2 limes in half and squeeze juice over diced mixture. Mix until everything is well incorporated.
Serve with tortilla chips, or on tacos. Keep leftovers in an airtight container for 2-5 days
Notes
Don't forget to season the salsa with a bit of kosher salt or just add some regular salt to taste.
You may be tempted to use frozen mango to make this salsa, but I would highly recommend sticking to using fresh mango, simply because it can really make a difference in terms of the texture.
Remember to use ripe mango for this recipe. Unripe mango tends to have an intense sour taste, which is nothing like the sweetness you're expecting from fresh mango.
To finish it all up, you can also add some fresh cilantro into the salsa and pulse it in the food processor, or just finely chop it and sprinkle it on the top.
Red bell pepper can lend the salsa a nice pop of color, but if you want, you can use any other bell pepper of your choice too!
If you want to make a spicy salsa, swap the jalapeno peppers and use habanero pepper or any other hot peppers of your choice.
