Super Fun Paper Plate Monkey Craft

Equipment

  • 1 Paintbrush
  • 1 Pair of Scissors

Materials

  • Paper Plate
  • Paint Brown
  • Paper Brown, Beige, & White
  • Paper Pink, for Nose
  • Googly Eyes or a Black Marker
  • Sellotape
  • Glue Stick or PVA Glue

Instructions

  • Paint the paper plate brown.
  • Cut out a face, eyes, ears, cheeks and nose using colored paper.
  • Paint the monkey ears and allow to dry.
  • Draw the monkey eyes using a marker pen.
  • Glue the monkey face, eyes and nose onto the paper plate.
  • Add cheeks and a smile.
  • Sellotape the monkey ears to the back of the brown paper plate.
  • Your monkey paper plate craft is now ready to display.

Notes

Pre-cut shapes for younger children to keep the activity stress free.
Use thicker paper or light card so the monkey holds its shape when displayed.
Talk about jungle animals and habitats while crafting to add a learning element.
