Equipment

  • Scissors

Materials

  • Paper or Card Colored
  • Crayons You can also use colored pencils or markers.
  • Glue
  • Googly Eyes

Instructions

  • Draw the Kiwi Bird on a piece of paper.
  • Next use the scissors to cut out your bird.
  • Color and draw feathers onto your brown paper.
  • Next add googly eyes to your Paper Kiwi Bird.
  • Cut out and stick a beak to your Kiwi.
  • Add feet and glue them to the back of the kiwi's body.
  • Finally add some cute cheeks to the kiwi paper craft.
  • Your super cute kiwi bird is now ready to display.

Notes

Encourage children to use reference pictures of kiwi birds while colouring.
Pre-cut shapes for younger children to keep the activity relaxed.
Talk about where kiwi birds live and why they are special while crafting.
