Fudge-covered Oreo Thins
Milk Chocolate Morsels4 for each ladybug
Instructions
Prepare a 13 x 9 baking sheet with wax paper and a spritz of non-stick cooking spray.
Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat. When the butter is melted, add the marshmallows and melt, stirring constantly. Remove the saucepan from heat.
Fold in the cereal. Stir until the cereal is coated in the marshmallow.
Using a buttered spatula or greased wax paper evenly press mixture into baking sheet. Cool completely.
Use a cookie cutter to cut treats. If the treats are loose, press additional krispy mixture into the cookie cutter before releasing the shape onto waxed paper.
Reshape the remaining cereal in your baking pan until all is used.
Press white nonpareils into fudge-dipped Oreo to create eyes. (If additional adhesion is needed, you can use the black decorating icing or melted white chocolate.)
Using the round tip on the black icing, outline the ladybug and create a line up the center.
Fill the remaining space with red icing. You can use a toothpick to smooth and spread the icing.
Immediately add the Oreo head and milk chocolate morsels (as spots). Allow to dry before serving. Enjoy your lovely Ladybug Rice Krispies.
Notes
Prepare Rice Krispie treats and, while still warm, mold them into heart shapes using a heart-shaped cookie cutter.
Use fudge-covered Oreo Thins for the ladybug heads. Press white nonpareil sprinkles into the fudge to form eyes.
Using red and black decorating icing, outline the ladybug's body, add a line down the center, and fill with red icing. Attach the Oreo head and place milk chocolate morsels as spots.
