This Fun Halloween Art Project for Kids is a scratch art activity where kids color paper, cover it in black paint, and then scratch designs to create spooky Halloween scenes.

Materials
- Cardstock or Construction Paper
- Crayons Broken Crayons Are Perfect For This

- Dish Soap
- Paint Brush

Instructions
- Download the template. Print it, cut it, and then set it aside for later. Have the kids color the white paper with crayons.
- In a bowl you will need to mix black paint with dish soap. You only need a few drops of dish soap.
- Use a large paintbrush to coat the entire paper that you covered with crayon. Allow the paper to dry completely.
- Turn your black paper over and trace the template on the back with pencil. Cut the template out.
- Use a tool to scratch art into the black paint. There's no wrong way to do it. You can use the scraps to make a fence, moon etc and glue everything onto a bright or black piece of cardstock or construction paper.
