Places to visit in the UK with a motorhome

Having a motorhome gives you the opportunity to travel the world without having to worry about finding accommodation, as well as expenses connected with it. After all, the world is full of beautiful places and countries—one of those being the UK. There are so many sights to see there that it’s easy to become overwhelmed. And if you are worried about not being able to drive left hand drive motorhomes in the UK, you have nothing to worry about. RVs coming from Europe don’t have to have any special permits.

So, what are some of the places you should visit? Let’s get to it, shall we?

If you want to take your partner for a romantic getaway or if you are looking for a place where you can spend a lovely holiday with your family, the Lake District is your place to go. There are so many things to do there, that everyone is bound to find something for themselves. Luxurious boat cruise? Why not. Windsurfing? Of course. And let’s not forget about the beautiful villages surrounding it as well as some of the largest UK national parks located in the vicinity.

If you are a Harry Potter fan, then Northumberland is a must-have on your list of places to visit in the UK. There, you can find the Alnwick Castle in which the movie was filmed, as well as several beaches and acres of countryside. You can relax during the day in the countryside, while during the evening you can admire the sunset on the beach with your partner.

If you want to go a little further, you can always take your motorhome on a ferry ride across the sea and visit the beautiful Isle of Wight. Some of the places you might want to see there include Robin Hill Country Park, Culver Down, or Newport. And if you decide to go during the summer, then you cannot miss out the Isle of Wight Festival and Bestival.

Now that you have several options when it comes to where to go, it’s time for the next step – packing. If you want to know what things you should and shouldn’t take with you, check out the infographic below.
