Uncommon And Cool Baby Boy Names

This week has been a week of mixed emotions for many women across the uk. Not only has Prince Harry and Meghan the Duchess of Sussex announced their pregnancy, it was also baby loss awareness week and a lot has been said in the media about babies. Then today Pippa Middleton gave birth to a baby boy. There is totally a lot of baby talk happening at the moment.

This week I had some news of my own. My aunty is expecting a baby and it’s rather exciting. We got talking about names over the internet and ever since I’ve been wanting to share a list of uncommon and unusual baby boy names. Some names people will love, other’s you won’t.

I recall when I was trying to decide what to call my baby, my husband and I could never agree. If I loved the name, he hated it. When he loved the name, I simply could not get my head around it. In the end we had a daughter, not a boy and we eventually agreed upon the beautiful name of Sylvia.

Today I am sharing these uncommon and cool baby boy names. I wonder which ones you like the most? Laura Summers over at Laura’s Lovely blog recently had a baby boy called Bodhi. I think that’s a strange but beautiful name. What do you think?

Choosing A Name For Your Baby

The list could go on but the above are a great starting place and hopefully you may just spot something you love. If I were blessed to have a son one day, I’d call my baby Gordon after my father. I love the name Gordon. It’s quite old fashioned liked my daughter’s name Sylvia and I guess I am a fan of old fashioned names.

One top tip I’d give when choosing your baby name is not to let others persuade you or talk you out of it. I had people tell me they did not like my child’s name. It was my choice and the name eventually grew on everyone and I’m so glad I went with my gut and chose the baby name for my child that I wanted.

Good luck in choosing a name for your baby boy. I hope this list inspires you.
