If you’re looking for the best children’s books that rhyme, you’ve come to the right place. Rhyming books are fantastic as they allow children to learn about rhythm and pace whilst enjoying the magic of reading.

Rhyming books for kids can be fun to read and the rhythm found in these books will help children to develop literacy skills such as phonemic awareness.

I have to say, children’s rhyming stories are my favorite type of reading book for both toddlers, preschoolers and kindergarten kids. I absolutely love them!

I’m sure you will also love this collection of rhyming books for kids. I’ll also share some fantastic craft ideas to go alongside one or two of these fun children’s books that I share.

What Is Phonemic Awareness?

Rhyming helps a child to develop phonemic awareness, but what does the term Phonemic awareness mean?

A phoneme is a sound and through using words that rhyme either in books, nursery rhymes or songs children are able to develop essential skills such as anticipating the next word in the sentence. By doing this children are able to develop their speech and literacy skills and prepare for the next stage of reading.
