How to Make the Perfect Halloween Cherry Pie
In a bowl mix flour and salt. Add cold butter. Mix. Add water. Cover the dough and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Divide the dough into two parts. Roll out the first part of the cooled dough into a baking dish. Put the dough in a greased form, prick the bottom with a fork, cut off the excess dough at the edges with a knife. Put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes more.
Roll out the second part of the dough into a layer of parchment and cut out the eyes, nose, draw a mouth with a knife. Put it in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
I recommend preparing the filling for a sweet pie in advance so that it cools down well. Send a few chopped plums to the cherries, add 100 g of sugar and leave for a couple of hours (or overnight in the refrigerator). It will give the juice that will be used for filling the cake.
Pour the cherries and juice into a small saucepan, then add the remaining 100 g of sugar, corn starch, and mix. Put the pan on medium heat and, stirring constantly, bring it to a boil. Boil it for 2-3 minutes. You will notice how the syrup will thicken, the consistency will resemble jelly. Cool the cherries in a thick syrup.
Put the cherries with the syrup in a form with the dough, and then cover with the second part of the dough. Grease the pie with an egg. Bake the pie in a preheated 180C oven for 30-40 minutes until ready.
How to Make the Mini Pumpkins

Cut the puff pastry into small squares.
Cut the dough into the shape of a pumpkin. transfer to parchment.
Add the filling to the dough and cover with the second halves of the dough.
Grease the pies with egg and bake until golden brown in the oven at a temperature of 180 degrees for 20-30 minutes.
