Reading the Beatrix Potter Series to Children In Style

Read Beatrix Potter To Kids

Who hasn’t heard of Peter Rabbit? As a child I recall growing up reading about Peter Rabbit and the terrible Farmer Mcgregor. I loved it when my mother read to me the stories by Beatrix Potter. I loved the tale of Jemima Puddle-Duck, the tale of Tom Kitten and the tale of Mrs Tittlemouse.

Beatrix Potter wrote 23 original tales, her first story Peter Rabbit being published in 1902. I think these stories are true classics and they are something I love to read to my daughter. We don’t currently own any Beatrix Potter books ourselves but there is a whole selection at the local library and so Sylvia and I have borrowed a number of books to have a good read.

I was really excited a few years ago when I discovered the children’s tv series Peter Rabbit. I think it’s pretty awesome and I encouraged my daughter to watch the show. I then went online to look for Peter Rabbit themed products and I found a lovely Peter Rabbit soft toy. I also discovered the most amazing wallpaper.

The Beatrix Potter series has charmed and excited children for over 100 years. In fact last year in 2016, Quentin Blake illustrate a book written by Beatrix called The Tale Of Kitty-In-Boots. It’s a brilliant and entertaining story and one I would recommend.

I’ve seen some fantastic Peter Rabbit and Beatrix Potter themed products out there and one thing I am absolutely in love with is new Hop, Skip and a Jump wallpaper created available from Murals Wallpaper.

This wallpaper seriously has to be the cutest and features favourite characters such as Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddle-Duck and Squirrel Nutkin. I think this wallpaper would be ideal for a style conscious nursery or playroom.

The Hop, Skip and a Jump wallpaper uses a natural palette which allows ample opportunity to accessorise using modern furniture. By contrasting the classic with the contemporary this sweet and charming wallpaper could help transform a room into a cosy space for learning, sleep and play and it’s just a hop, skip and a jump away.
