This idyllic city nestled in the heart of Georgia is filled with excitement and culture, perfect for those searching for fun, food, gorgeous weather, and opportunity. Whatever your reasons for settling in this southern marvel, you’ll want to think about some of the important aspects of your move to Atlanta, and consider your options for housing and travel, as well as getting a good idea of some of the best places to visit during your first few weeks.

The Best Places To Live

There are a number of wonderful places to live in Atlanta, and a lot of these choices depend on you as a person and what you’re looking for. With lots of neighbourhoods each with a different feel, you might find that it’s difficult to decide on one particular location.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Fairlie Poplar District boasts some incredibly stunning architecture and is known as a very popular business destination in the entirety of southeastern USA.

This idyllic city nestled in the heart of Georgia is filled with excitement and culture, perfect for those searching for fun, food, gorgeous weather, and opportunity. If you are living in Georgia and want to launch your own business with your own business idea, registering a LLC in Georgia is a great way to get started.

Similarly, young professionals flock to Midtown and Buckhead for the amazing business opportunities available. If you’re looking for something new and cool, you could consider East Atlanta Village, which is said to be quickly growing in popularity for business and homebuyers.

Atlanta Nightlife

The city has been dubbed “Hotlanta” because of it’s exciting, and cool nightlife, although residents aren’t entirely pleased with the overused nickname. While you should try not to use this nickname to avoid eyerolls, it’s earned that name for a reason.

There are countless things to do in the twilight hours of Atlanta, from amazing clubs to hilarious comedy shows and unique, quirky bars including the mysterious Red Phone Booth, which can only be accessed after dialling a secret code on the booth’s phone.

Getting Around Town

It’s well known that Atlanta isn’t easy to get around without your own car. Traffic can get bad but walking around the city isn’t a great choice as it’s very big. When you move here, it’s worth looking into getting a car fairly quickly.

Visit the EchoPark used car dealership in Atlanta to find the ideal ride for you. Whether you’re a commuter or not, having a car is by far one of the best ways to get around the city and the surrounding areas.

Getting Into Nature

To get some respite from the urban landscape, there are so many parks spread out around the city and the outskirts, to refresh and rejuvenate your mind and soul.

Situated in the centre of the city, you’ll find Centennial Olympic Park and Piedmont Park to name a couple, and as you move further out, you’ll be able to visit places like Sweetwater Creek and Westside Park.

Sporting Specialities

For the sports fanatics out there, Atlanta has so many options for your viewing pleasure, with a number of professional teams across multiple different sports, including baseball, football, soccer, and basketball.

There’s even the Atlanta Open tennis tournament held every year. No matter what your favourite sport is, you’ll find a team to support and get invested in. If you’re the type to play, you may want to look into the myriad of different sporting clubs to keep up with your fitness as well as make some friends.
