A Fabulous Living Room For Any Home

Lounge Mood Board

A Fabulous Living Room For Any Home

Summer crept upon us and we were able to open the doors and windows in the lounge and let a lot more light and air in. I love Summer time and enjoyed spending more time in the lounge on the sofa rather than in bed upstairs.

With the change in weather there are some little things I could do in the lounge to spruce up the place and create a more light and bright atmosphere. As I’m saving for medical costs, we wont be buying any new furniture this season, but just like I did as a child, I decided to create a Mood board of ideas and wishes. After all a girl can wish.

If I could create a mood board I would choose a new sofa and cushions, lights, ornaments and a stool.

So first of all, I would remove our broken Sofa and replace it with the Alicia 5 Seat Corner Sofa from Fishpools. I love the look of a corner sofa big enough to seat the whole family.

I would buy some saffron yellow Topsy cushions with Elephants. They are so cute and would look fabulous on the new sofa.

I would buy a Vintage style wooden fabric poufs to place in the lounge. The striking yellow would complement the new Elephant cushions.

For lighting I’d purchase two Albert pendant Lamps in Duck Egg colour and for finishing touches I’d buy 3 Giraffe Safari Vase from MiaFleur. They are simply gorgeous.

I think all of these great pieces could help create a wonderful Lounge look, even a Safari style look and it would be one room, I’d want to hang out in.

How would you decorate your room? I hope to share some more ideas in the coming months. I am looking forward to creating a mood board for my daughters room too.

  1. Loving your mood board, I hope to get a corner sofa when I buy my own place as my currently apartment isn’t big enough to have a corner sofa
