Lee Stafford Ubuntu Oils From Africa Hairdryer
Ever since I became unwell back in 2013, my personal beauty and hair routines went out the window. I can probably count on one hand the number of times I have worn makeup. I barely get my hair done, on average once a year and the reality is when your unwell the last thing you want to worry about is appearance.
Well, that’s how I felt for the past four years. It will have been 4 years in July since I first collapsed and was diagnosed with Adrenal Insufficiency. I really would like to do more in terms of beauty and I’d love to get my hair done. I just have had higher priorities such as taking a shower or spending time with Sylvia.
I have decided to save and find a mobile hairdresser who can come to my home and do my hair here. I think that might be a good compromise. In fact the other week I had a shower at my grandma’s and used some shampoo of my mums. The smell brought back memories.
I remembered the shampoo I used after leaving my first husband. I would love to take showers and feel the water covering my head. It smelt so good to feel clean and to me was a symbol of being free from an abusive relationship. My X would husband would control when and how long I showered and being able to do this on my own terms was an amazing thing.
However since I got unwell I had cut back on showers and hair washing and to be honest, I guess I could have made a little more effort. So, after using the shampoo which brought back memories, I sent my husband to Asda to buy the nicest shampoo and shower gel and I have been having more showers than I’ve had in a long time.
I don’t know what it was but I suddenly wanted to wash my hair way more regular and just have that feeling of being clean and fresh and free once more. It’s psychological I know but a good feeling and so I have turned a corner and am now doing my hair a lot.
What made things even better is that I received my very own Lee Stafford Ubuntu Oils Hairdryer to review. Sylvia has a Lee Stafford Coco Loco hairdryer in her room but now I have my own hair dryer too and I have used it a lot in the past three weeks.
My new hair dryer is the perfect way to dry off my hair after taking a lovely shower and the grille is infused with ubuntu oils from Africa which leaves my hair feeling pampered and full of goodness.
The Ubunutu oils hairdryer is really powerful and has 2 speeds, 3 heat settings as well as a cool shot which was really great last week when the weather was incredibly hot.
Having a hairdryer of my own is special to me. It’s these little things which help me to feel more normal and are helping me to find my new normal. I love my new hairdryer, the functionality and the style. It looks fab, the green in funky and the dark pink is so my style.
I’m glad I was sent the hairdryer to review and it’s certainly one I’d recommend. I feel very lucky to have this and it really is helping me with the little changes I am implementing in my life.
