Do you know what lazy keto meals are? Well, today I will be talking about the lazy keto diet plan, sharing some lazy keto recipes and ideas to help make the ketogenic diet easier to follow when you’re super busy.

What Is Lazy Keto?

Even though you probably have quite a bit more energy now that you’re doing Keto, you’re bound to have lazy days or nights like the rest of us. Especially if you work and/or have kids, your time and energy can be extremely limited, so let’s talk about spending less energy on cooking and more energy on enjoying life (and dinner).

How to Do Lazy Keto

Meals in a Flash

Just got home and don’t feel like cooking a big meal? Tired from work, want to stay low carb but just don’t have the energy to cook an elaborate dinner? Here are some quick ideas to keep you keto and moving towards your goals without a ton of effort.

These lazy keto meals are less time consuming than the recipes you see on Pinterest with 100 ingredients.

Are you really hungry? Drink a bulletproof herbal tea. This will likely hold you over until you are a bit more rested and feel up to cooking a meal.

Keto Snacks

Easy late-night keto snacks such as mozzarella sprinkled with olive oil, nuts, dried fruits, frozen berries, and even jerky are always good to have on hand for times like these.

Any deli meat with a side of your favorite cheese and an avocado make for a great hold-me-over snack. You might love these Turkey Bacon Wrapped Aspargus Snacks. They are delicious.

Leftovers

Leftovers are my favorite! They’re a great way to have a filling, healthy meal without having to cook. Get in the habit of making extra when you are cooking and freeze some.

I like to double recipes so we are guaranteed to have enough leftovers to make a meal for another day.

Leftovers also make great lunch options. You can pop your left over meal into a tupperwear container and hey presto, you have a meal for the next day!

Ten Minute Meals

Find ways to make a very quick meal. Buy a baked or rotisserie chicken already made, add a few veggies, and enjoy. It takes about 5 minutes to make some asparagus in a skillet with butter.

If you want some bacon, fry it up at the same time and you have another filling meal in a matter of minutes.

Boil an egg, fry up some steak, add a salad and BAM… another quick meal is in the bag. It’s all about making use of what you have so you can make your life easier.

Keto Vegan Food for Outdoor Adventures

Are you into keto and vegan at the same time? If yes, then you can incorporate vegan food when you’re always on the go, especially when camping or going for any outdoor adventures while still keeping your keto diet.

Online resources like Proper Good offer great keto vegan recipes, such as the following, that are perfect for outdoor adventures:

  • Arugula And Watermelon Salad: This keto vegan recipe is light and perfect for the summer, packed with iron and Vitamin B12 that are good for replenishing the body after camping adventures. You can make 4 to 6 servings in only 10 minutes.
  • Grilled Tofu Steak: Tofu is keto-friendly and vegan, which makes grilled tofu steak a perfect camping food staple. You can prepare and cook this low-calorie recipe in about an hour, perfect while chatting over the campfire for an ultimate camping bonding experience with your family or friends.
  • Campfire Apple Crisp: This simple recipe is very easy to make. Because the apples are lightly spiced, you’ll have warm and cozy, cooler nights.
  • Sauté Mixed Veggies: You can prepare the dish by chopping veggies at home, place them in an airtight or sealed container, and bring them on your camping trip. Sauté vegetables in a pan or skillet over a campfire for an added smoky flavor.

Slow Cooker and Instant Pot

Whether you prefer the slow cooker or Instant Pot , they’re both amazing must-have kitchen tools! You can dump a bunch of keto-friendly ingredients into the slow cooker before you head out to work, and dinner will be hot and ready for you when you get home.

Or, you can use your Instant Pot to whip up dinner in a jiffy if you forget to plan for that day.

Either way, both appliances take less time and effort than cooking up a traditional dinner.
