Vacations change when kids become part of the package. As a couple, you could go at your leisure, soaking in places that maybe we’re too kid-friendly. Now, you have tiny fingers and toes to consider as well as developing minds. Therefore, the family trip must now factor in some new elements: constant entertainment, healthy environments, and wholesome locations. Don’t give up on time away. The following four sites offer lots of enjoyment and are eager to see your kids’ smiling faces.

1. Orlando, Florida

Orlando resides in the center of the sunshine state, developed with a significant focus on tourism. Most notably, it’s recognized for Disney World parks as well as Universal Studios. Families could easily spend a week at the parks, riding coasters, meeting characters, and exploring fantastic worlds. Both companies have water parks for off days, evening entertainment and hotels on-site, allowing you to basically leave your car in the lot and spend time together.

If you want to head out for some local exploring, you have plenty to see along International Drive. This strip has stores, restaurants and museums. Learn more about the Titanic or explore underwater life in the marine exhibits.

2. Nassau, Bahamas

Get off the mainland, and head over to the tropics. Many families find the Bahamas an exciting place for parents and kids. Nassau is the central hub for tourists, offering plentiful beaches. Take in the crystal clear water, go snorkeling and bargain in the local markets. Consider making your way there by ship even. A luxury Bahamas cruise permits families to hit the high seas. Directors usually have plenty of activities for the kids, offer excursions for the dry land and provide daily evening entertainment.

3. Maui, Hawaii

On the other side of the world, Hawaii awaits those that want a bit of society and nature. Take tours of the towns, picking up on native language and cuisine. Stay in a luxury resort right on the beach. Let the kids build sandcastles as you relax in a comfy chair. During the evening, participate in a luau where the children and adults dance and feast together.

Do you want the family to try something new? Keep the kids and yourselves occupied with outdoor activities like horseback riding, ziplining and surfing. Take in the natural setting, learn a new hobby and come back with amazing tales of Hawaii’s beauty. If that isn’t enough, hire a guide who can take you down the notable Road to Hana, hike the waterfalls and or check out volcanic craters.

4. Glen Rose, Texas

Go back to prehistoric days by heading over to Dinosaur Valley State Park located in Glen Rose, about 75 miles southwest of Texas. Your dino-loving littles are bound to be fascinated as they hunt for ancient footprints in the Paluxy River. Then, grab some fishing pools, travel on a good-fashioned wagon and pretend to be a cowboy for the day.

The quaint town boasts 30 buildings that are part of the National Historic Registry. Stroll around, grab something to eat and frequent some local shops.

5. Denver, Colorado

The mile-high city has plenty to explore. Younger kids may love hitting up the Denver Firefighters Museum and the Children’s Museum. These interactive educational centers offer hands-on stations where kids can experiment with different concepts. For older youth, the city has an aquarium, zoo and science center. The zoo alone houses approximately 4,300 animals, representing 650 species. After walking around, take a break and hop on the trolley, looking at the city’s architecture.

Having kids changes vacations, but it doesn’t stop them. Plenty of cities are waiting for your crew, eager to assist you in making memories and smiles. The following five selections focus on providing enjoyment, education and hospitality. Pick a place that fits your group’s interests and personalities. Then, prepare the bags, set a plan and get ready for fun. Your crew has plenty to see and do.
