Hello Nature Activity Cards Encourage Fun Outdoors
This week Sylvia was sent a pack of the new Hello Nature Activity Cards by Anna Claybourne and Nina Chakrbarti. Published by Laurence King in April 2018, these nature cards are a fabulous resource and fun way to get kids outdoors, having fun in the sunshine and exploring the natural world.
We took the Hello Nature cards to the local reserve around the corner from Sylvia’s school to take a look and go on a bug hunt. It was great fun and Sylvia really enjoyed herself.
Their are 30 Activities on the set of Hello Nature cards, from stone skimming and pond dipping to a scavenger hunt and looking for trails.
We enjoyed looking at the cards and Sylvia chose to go on a bug hunt looking for bugs. Unbeknown to us their was actually a really awesome man made area called Buggingham Place and we were able to find quite a few different bugs in their. We decided to call the place Buggingham palace like the home of the queen but this was the home of the queen of the bugs.
Exploring using the cards as prompts was really fun and Sylvia has a great adventure. My daughter enjoys computers and movies so it was great to get out for a while and do something outdoors for once.
We are looking forward to having another look at the cards and planning some individual activities based on the ideas such as identifying trees and plants and making some plant rubbings.
These Hello Nature Activity Cards are pretty awesome. They are made from a strong material and are not very flimsy. In fact they are really good quality and I am really impressed. In fact I’d love to send a pack of these to my sister in New Zealand for my nieces and nephews as I think they would love them.
The good news is we do have a giveaway here on The Inspiration Edit today. We have one set of Hello Nature Activity Cards to give to one of our lucky readers. These are quality cards which come out officially on the 28th April. If you’d like to get your hands on these then I totally recommend entering the competition. Entries are open to UK and Ireland residents and the final date for entering is the 19th May 2018. A winner will be chosen via rafflecopter and announced on social media.
Good Luck
We were sent the cards for the purpose of review.
