Today on The Inspiration Edit we have a fantastic DIY tutorial to make a Halloween Lucky Dip. Sometimes at Halloween the kids can get far too many sweets and candy and therefore it’s great to have healthy alternatives or fun little toys which are sure to please the kids but help reduce the intake of sugary treats. We recently received some fantastic Zomlings and we came up with this brilliant idea. We do hope you like it.

The first thing we did was make coloured rice. This was pretty simple and easy to do. We had two zipoc bags and poured an equal amount of rice in each bag. We then poured green into one bag and attempted to make purple in the other. The green rice came out super green but the purple rice came out more brown, but that’s okay as the rice now looked like yucky spooky maggots which is great for halloween.

I was going to use two buckets which we had, and make one dip with green rice and one with the purple, however my daughter got a little over excited and poured both the green and purple into the same bucket, so the plans changed in a moments notice.

We then started to place our Season 6 Zomlings into the rice. It can be a little tricky forcing the Zomlings into the rice but we managed to hide a good number of Zomlings in the bucket.

We added all the Zomlings until they were completely covered with rice and then we decided to practice the Lucky dip and see of it was fun.

We even placed some rare and ultra rare Zomlings in the bucket which was pretty cool. Sylvia and her friend had a fantastic time dipping their hands in the rice to discover the different Zomlings and they had fun making a time lapse video.

We hope you enjoyed our tutorial. You can place any little toys in the bucket or if you do want to use sweets, maybe jelly worms or eyeballs from the dollar store or Poundland. Why not check out what’s available. We got our bucket from poundland and it is going to be super useful this Halloween. I do hope you like the tutorial.
