Getting Your Wardrobe Ready For A Busy Winter – A collaborative post
December can be a fairly hectic time for most of us – whether it’s getting all of our Christmas prep done or planning and attending parties – it can get pretty overwhelming. Of course, it’s a very fun time of year and gives us a chance to celebrate with our nearest and dearest. With a little bit of planning beforehand, you can make life easier for yourself and make your wardrobe work for you this winter.
One of the first things you’ll want to get organised is your outfits. It’s good to base your work wardrobe around the idea that they can be easily dressed up. A black dress is a perfect example as it’s a plain start but it’s so simple to make it more elegant for an evening. Also, as many of us girls know, you it’s very hard to go wrong with jeans and a nice top. Damart have a fantastic range, you’re bound to find the perfect pair for you.
You’ll want to keep of party shoes in the office. Even if you wear heels for work, you’ll want to bring a pair of backup flats with you. It depends where the party will take you, as well. Ask yourself how much walking you’ll have to do, how long you’ll be on your feet for. When it comes to your shoes, think stylish but practical.
It’s likely you’re going to be short for time, and for some occasions you’re going to head straight from the office to the party. So it’s a good idea for you to bring jewellery – or other accessories you think you’ll need – with you ahead of time. If you want to look for some accessory inspiration then look no further than right here. Whether you want to keep pieces at your desk, or in your car, it’s easy to help yourself out. Statement earrings can have such a large impact on your outfit. Don’t be afraid to be bold with your accessories.
Of course if you’re going to bring more accessories and outfits than normal, you may want to rethink your bag. You could potentially invest in a bag which carries you from day to night, as well as fitting in everything you need. Or if you would rather leave the larger bag at work, you easily slide a clutch into your bag and then transfer your essentials with you. It is entirely up to you and how organised you’re feeling.
Just because there is a lot to do over Christmas, doesn’t mean you can’t have fun doing it. Not to mention looking fabulous as you go. Do you have any tricks up your sleeve to keep your winter wardrobe fresh and functional?
