Getting My Health Goals Published On The Mighty

Today an article I wrote was published on “The Mighty”. It’s called Why Fighting to get well is like Climbing a Mountain and is a piece I originally published on the blog. This year I have some pretty major health goals. I am going to lose a lot of weight, eventually move to a more suitable home and see an Endocrinologist who might support me in my mission to find and get the Adrenal pump.

These are massive things and it’s not going to be an easy journey, but it’s a journey I want to share here on the blog. When I write about my health problems, some may perceive it to be whinging or moaning. That is not at all my purpose. My goal is to educate and spread awareness so hopefully more will be done to support adults and children with Adrenal Insufficiency.

I’m really excited to have smashed a 2016 goal on day 5 of the new year. This is awesome news and I’m feeing really happy about this.

So, if you’d like to read more, why not pop over to The Mighty and read my latest article. I’m doing a happy dance from the bed.

Extra! Tonight on the same day I wrote this, I got published for the Third Time and am so so excited!

My Third Post is called: When your waiting for a Wheelchair Accessible Home

To read my first published article, To The Person Who Wrote “Fat” on the Parking Spot for Wheelchair Users

  1. I just accidentally closed this page instead of posting my comment – doh!
I’ve just read your post and congratulations on being published in The Mighty.
I didn’t know what adrenal insufficiency was until I read the article so I definitely think more awareness is needed and well done for trying to spread the word.
Congrats as well on losing so much weight already, I am also trying to shed the pounds so if you need a friend or want a chat just come my way!
You sound very motivated and determined and I really hope that your health goals this year come through for you.

    1. Thanks Lucy. Yes it would be great to chat and work towards weight loss together. I am getting a great tool to help me- A gastric bypass and will be sharing this each week. I will still have to use willpower and make huge mental and emotional changes and it’s not going to be easy. I’ll have to find low fat, low sugar recipes so yes- any support would be fab!

  2. Well done on being published in The Mighty and I really hope that you do manage to achieve some of your health goals. Having had a lot of health problems last year, some ongoing , and experiencing how frustrating it can be dealing with an inadequate system, I can relate to how you would feel on your own in this.

    1. Thanks so much. I know I will meet my goals this year. i have plans and juts hve to take them one step at a time starting with my gastric bypass in two weeks. 🙂

  3. Congratulations on having a blog post featured on the Mighty. I too had one of mine published on there about a month ago. I think it’s a great platform to raise awareness about the health conditions and disorders that are important to us. I hope to have more posts featured on there in the near future. Keep up the good work 🙂

    1. Thankyou. It is a good feeling to be appreciated. I really have found a place for sharing articles and although its unpaid, it builds links and that pays off in other ways 🙂

  4. It’s always great to see your posts getting published elsewhere isn’t it? Well done Angela on achieving one of your 2016 goals already so early into the year.
