Bunny butt cookies are fun easter treats to make with the kids. In fact, I always love baking easter cookies with my daughter and  today we are sharing our own bunny butt easter cookie recipe

Baking Easter Treats With Kids

I really see a lot of value in cooking and baking with kids. There are the social opportunities, a chance to have fun, develop skills and learn as well as having fun creating fun Easter treats.  I think this was a great easter activity and hope you enjoy the post.

Ingredients for Bunny Butt Cookies

  • 12 Oreo cookies
  • 1 Block of white chocolate
  • 1 tube of white icing or tube of white chocolate
  • 12 Cakepop sticks
  • 1 packet of pink bonbons
  • 1 packet of mini-mart mushrooms
  • Greaseproof paper

How to Make These Easter Treats

Break up the white chocolate into a microwave proof bowl. Melt for 1 minute, stir and then melt for 1 further minute.

Open up the Oreo, add a cake pop stick, add chocolate and glue the Oreo back together using the white chocolate.

Repeat with each cookie and then place in the fridge to set.

 Once the Oreo is set dip and cover in the melted white chocolate.

Place the white chocolate covered cookies on greaseproof paper and place in the fridge once more to set.

Chill for 30 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden.

Now  the cookies are hard, you can begin to make the bunny feet.

Chop the bottoms off the mini mart mushrooms, add melted chocolate and glue into position.

Repeat this process with the bonbon using this as the bunny rabbits tail.

Finally use either a small tube of icing or a tube of white chocolate to draw tiny paw prints onto the bunny feet.

Place the finished bunny butts into the fridge once more allowing the feet and tail to set.

  3. Oh how cute do these look??? I think it is a great activity to do with the kids. Only one problem, I love those little foamy mushrooms so there probably wouldn’t be any left to decorate with!!
