This is a great activity to create at home or in the preschool or kindergarten setting and it’s a great way to mix science, color and fun all in one.
So what are you waiting for, read on to find out how to make this super fun Unicorn slime recipe. It’s one you won’t want to miss!
Imagine the kids coming into preschool to discover this fun Unicorn on the table! I’m sure it would get a lot of interest.
Supplies Needed For This Slime Recipe
- 1 cup Elmer’s Glue in clear
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- Pastel Food coloring
- 3 cups shaving cream
- 1½ tablespoon contact lens solution (containing boric acid)
- For the unicorn face:
- Jumbo wiggly eyes
How To Make Unicorn Slime
One basic recipe for each color, including white
Empty the glue into a large bowl.
Whisk in the shaving cream.
Add the baking soda to the glue mixture and stir to mix thoroughly.
If you are adding coloring, stir these ingredients into the glue mixture.
Fold in the shaving cream.
Add contact lens solution to the mixture and stir well. (Note: regular glue will require less contact lens solution than glitter glue. Add the contact lens solution slowly, mixing between additions, and add only enough to bring the glue together into a soft ball.)
The slime will be sticky. Begin to play with the slime, kneading it as you would bread dough, to bring the slime together. The slime is ready when no longer sticky.
Best if stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator when not in use.
How To Make The Unicorn
Now you have your different slime colors use them to create your Unicorn. Begin bu creating a unicorn head from white slime.
Next you can add strands of hair to your Unicorn. If doesn’t matter what order you choose, this slime Unicorn will look great any way you choose.
Add white ears to your unicorn an a yellow unicorn horn!
Now the kids are ready to play. This will be one fun slime activity for kids and one the little ones will absolutely love! Enjoy!
