Yesterday we went to the opening night of Disney On Ice Dream Big at the Manchester Arena. It was an amazing experience and so much fun for my daughter and our family. I’m so excited to share our experience with you including our visit to the VIP room to meet Mickey Mouse. It was fantastic.

My mum is visiting from New Zealand and so we wanted to go as a family to take Sylvia to the Disney On Ice Dream Big Show. We had been to Disney on Ice in Sheffield 5 years ago, however Sylvia was so young and I knew she would remember this Disney On Ice experience much better now she is older.

When we arrived at Disney on Ice we visited the VIP rooms where Sylvia had a super special time. She was able to meet Mickey Mouse and have her photo taken together. I even got in on the action and had a photo with Sylvia and Mickey Mouse too. This year is the 90th birthday celebration of Mickey Mouse and so it was really great to meet him.

Sylvia was given a fantastic Disney On Ice gift bag full of fantastic items. She got a wonderful Disney on Ice colouring book and enjoyed colouring while we ate some VIP party food and relaxed before the show.

One of the highlights for Sylvia was being given a fantastic Disney Maui Plush Doll. This was so awesome and was the perfect match for her Moana doll which she has at home. Sylvia was over the moon.

Before the show began we collected our tickets and went to the arena. It was wonderful and exciting to see the ice rink and we purchased a big bag of popcorn to eat as we enjoyed the Disney On Ice Dream Big Show.

I absolutely loved the Disney On Ice Dream Big show, as did my mum, my husband John and most importantly Sylvia. It was an amazing experience and we found ourself clapping along, dancing and enjoying the whole performance.

My favourite part of the Disney On Ice show was the Frozen spectacular with Ahna, Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf. I absolutely loved it, especially all the special effects and the snow falling onto the rink.

We saw many of the Disney princesses and followed the story of brave Disney characters who dared to dream. The show was narrated by Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse and each performance was a delight to watch.

My Mum’s favourite part of the show was Aladdin and Princess Jasmine meeting in the market place. This was well choreographed and fun to watch.

Sylvia absolutely loved the Moana and Maui section of dream big and it was so fun to see Maui dancing and singing his song, “Your welcome” which Sylvia keenly sung along to.

I loved the Moana and Maui performance too and it was really special to see. I’d totally recommend going to Disney On Ice as it’s a fantastic outing for the family and for little ones. We had a wonderful time.

You will need a little spending money at Disney On Ice as their are toys, popcorn and other food items available to purchase for the show.

You might also want to purchase a program and don’t forget the little ones can come dressed as their favourite Disney character. This just add’s to the excitement and fun. It really is a magical adventure.

Disney On Ice Manchester is fantastic. There are more performances available to watch and if you live in another area of the UK, you can visit Disney On Ice in other popular cities such as Birmingham, Sheffield, Belfast, Dublin, Nottingham and London.

The UK tour is on between 21st September 2018 and 6h January 2019.
