How to Throw a Disney Moana Party

*Review

Ever since I learned about Moana the Polynesian Disney princess I was really excited. My daughter Sylvia is of Polynesian descent and I was excited for her to watch the movie and learn a little about her heritage. Her ancestors were voyagers and she has a unique history. Sylvia fell in love with the Disney movie Moana the first time she watched it and we were super excited when the DVD came out for release.

Around the same time, we ordered the Moana DVD, I was asked to review a party pack from Party Bags and Supplies. I decided it would be a great idea to order Moana party items and we arranged to have a Moana themed movie night and party at Sylvia’s great grandparents’ home. The party was a success and everyone enjoyed the movie.

We were sent some colourful party platter plates, the Moana tableware kit, a tablecloth, napkins, cups, party bags with treats, invitations, a helium balloon, fruit picks, and parasols. We had everything we needed for the perfect Disney Moana Party.

I really loved the platters. They are really budget friendly and have plenty of space for food items.

We chose green and blue platters to match our tropical theme. We got some sausages, cheese and pineapple and used the colourful fruits to make tasty cocktail sticks.

Next we used the parasols to decorate the mini scotch eggs. Sylvia enjoyed preparing the party food and the colours really did stand out.

When we arrived at my grandmother’s I realised we had left the tablecloth at home. We would have used this had I not left it behind.

Sylvia had invitations which she filled out for all her family members. She also had a grass hula skirt and wore this during the Moana themed party and movie night.

Once the food was ready we started our party. Everyone had a Moana themed party plate and a cup and chose the food they wanted. We then watched the Moana movie as a family and everyone enjoyed it.

Even Yoda and Casper had a great time as they managed to sneak a few items of food which went on the floor.

At the end of our movie night, Sylvia and my little brother James got party bags. They loved the items. Sylvia particularly liked the bracelets and the fan. I think the items in the bag suited the Moana theme very much. We had a fun night and the supplies we were sent to review really did help make a fantastic party.
