💡 Pro Tip: Paint a few small companion sea creatures like starfish or tiny fish on additional rocks and arrange them together for a complete underwater scene display.
🧑🎨 Expert Tips
- Natural Surface Prep: Lightly sand the rock before painting to remove any rough patches, helping the crab design appear smoother and more vibrant once finished.
- Layered Color Blending: Blend two shades of red or orange while the paint is wet to give the crab’s body a more dynamic, shell-like appearance without needing extra outlines.
- Offset Claw Positions: Tilt the claws slightly away from each other to create the sense of movement, making the crab seem like it's in action rather than static.
- Simple Eye Elevation: Glue small beads, pebbles, or tiny buttons on top of painted stalks for the eyes to add a playful, slightly three-dimensional effect.
- Soft Wave Background: Lightly sponge soft blue or teal behind the crab to create a gentle water effect without overwhelming the main rock painting.
- Minimalist Sand Accents: Add a few tiny dots of tan or light brown near the bottom edges to suggest a sandy beach, giving the crab a grounded environment.
