Blog Goals For March

Well, February has been an interesting month. I’ll begin by saying I was housebound for most of February. I managed to leave the home for medical appointments, to visit my Endocrinologist and Haematologist and I went with Sylvia for her first visit to our temple. Apart from that, I’ve been stuck indoors and for most of the month, I’ve been in bed with a terrible virus.

Reaching My Goals: February Review

Despite the setbacks and illness, I still managed to reach some of my blogging goals.

I could not do even a quarter of what I wanted to but I managed to keep the blog ticking along. I have a lot of posts prepped and scheduled for the weeks and months when I am very unwell and I have consistently created evergreen content over the years to help bring in seasonal traffic when I am unable to blog.

In February, I managed to reach over 150,000 page views which were my monthly goal for The Inspiration Edit. For my health blog Days In Bed, I reached 18K page views and for Craft Play Learn,  I reached 2,100 page views. I am happy with those results.

In terms of social media, all my social channels have stayed the same. I have not been able to work on those due to illness but I have managed some self care activities!

I’ve had help to keep my Pinterest account growing and to maintain my Instant Pot group and both have grown as planned during February at a steady rate and I am pleased.

The other social channels have to wait until I recover from this virus and I will then put more effort into those areas once more. I’d barely touched Instagram but you can’t do everything when you’re sick and some things just have to wait. It is frustrating being more unwell on top of my usual chronic conditions but with a weak immune system, this is part of what happens to me.

My Goals For March

For March I have set 10 goals. These are all achievable if I keep doing what I can.

Page Views

I aim to reach 150K page views again this month for The Inspiration Edit. My goal for Days In Bed is to reach 15K page views and for my Craft blog, 2.5K page views.

Pinterest

I hope to grow my main Pinterest account by 1,000 followers. This month I have support with pinning for my craft blog and the goal is to have all content from this blog pinned to the Craft Play Learn Pinterest account by the end of the month. Reviews

Although The Inspiration Edit is not planning to take on any paid work this month, we are reviewing several items. We have some fantastic kids toys to review, a children’s book, and a watch for my husband.

I am also in the process of testing out DietBon ready meals to see if they can help me lose weight. My Husband John will be doing all the photography and I will write an honest review once the time period is completed.

Blog Posts

I have 20 posts scheduled for March on The Inspiration Edit. The only ones I have to write are the reviews as the others are already prepared. I aim to add 3 posts to the Days In Bed Blog, these again are already written and just need SEO work done. I then have a goal to post once a day on Craft Play Learn this month.

Health Goals

This month I hope to see the doctor to review my Vitamin D levels. I have a Vitamin B12 injection due and need to see the dentist as my tooth crumbled again due to low calcium levels. I am hoping to order more giving sets for my Adrenal pump and to finally recover from this awful virus which is making me feel so unwell.

Family Goals

Sylvia is going on a school trip to see a play. I hope to get her new tights or stockings as she had a growth spurt and the ones from September no longer fit. I will be sending her shopping with John.

Sylvia has been having piano lessons for some time and she is getting to a point where she would love a piano. I am going to start saving for this and also pitch and look around for opportunities via the blog.

Food Storage

With the Coronavirus spreading worldwide, we are working on food storage and making sure we have enough supplies in the home in case of an emergency. For example, we have stocked up on extra toilet paper, tissues, paracetamol and other items we may need if the family were to be stuck in the home for a period of time.

In March we plan to buy something extra each week towards our food storage plan.

Instant Pot

I plan to continue growing my Instant Pot Group this month. The goal is to reach 40,000 members! I have my first Instant pot recipe and video to promote in March – It will be Instant Pot Mashed Potatoes and John is hoping to create a vegetable soup video. That’s the goal!

Self Care

I plan to take more showers this month and rest more. I am hoping to get some fresh new pyjamas and when I’m well enough I’m going to use a Herbal essence treatment cream on my hair that John got me for Valentines. I don’t have the energy for makeup or anything like that. I will rest more in bed and hang out with Yoda and Casper our pets.

Essential Oils

I love essential oils and I plan to get one new essential oil this month to help me feel more relaxed and less anxious. I will do some research and choose a good oil and test it out.

So that’s my plans for this month.
