Welcome back to My Sunday Style. This week Sylvia is modelling a Purple Bloch Ballet Leotard and elasticated belt. My daughter began Ballet classes back in August and this leotard is her weekly uniform.
I’m yet to see Sylvia attend her class as I’ve not been well enough to take her myself. John, my husband takes her to Ballet every Saturday.
I have seen Sylvia practicing and she is slowly picking up little movements and I’m loving watching her at home.

When starting ballet Sylvia needed to get her own pair of Ballet Shoes. One thing I’ve learnt is that ballet shoe sizes are smaller than regular shoe sizes and you will need to check the size is right before purchasing ballet shoes. Sylvia has got silk ballet shoes with an elasticated strap over the top.
Sylvia also got some black dance shoes for her dancing with elasticated straps and clips. The shoes were an additional requirement for dance school however she has not worn them to class yet. She has and does wear them at home and wears both the ballet shoes and regular dance shoes with pink socks.
We ordered some stockings my daughters size but when they arrived, they were way too small so I’ll be passing those onto my sister. Some ballet and dance schools require a ballet skirt but Sylvia’s class do not. It would generally be the same colour (lilac) and maybe this will be part of the uniform next year? I like the Lilac Leotard. How about you?
