Animals At Home Matching Game By Claudia Boldt

Last week Sylvia and I were sent a fun and new matching game to review. The game is called Animals At Home, illustrated by Claudia Boldt and published by Laurence King.

When the game arrived I was really impressed with the cute illustrations and the quality of the matching cards. I wasn’t sure what my daughter would think of these but she really did like them.

Each card has an animal and a matching home or habitat. For example, the cow lives in the shed and the pig in the pen. Given that Sylvia is currently learning about animal habitats at school I thought it was perfect timing and a great way to learn about the places where animals live.

Sylvia found matching the animals to their homes really fun and enjoyed testing out this product. As an early years teacher I do think this game has educational value. It’s a great way to learn more about animals but also helps promote cognitive skills, such as matching and memory development.

I love that there are lots of different animals. Some games might only have a few but this one had over 27 animals with 27 different homes and even It was enjoyable to watch and help my daughter to match the animals and homes.

The Animals at home game is available from Laurence King and retails for £12.99. I think it is an adorable and cute game with educational value and Sylvia gave it the thumbs up.

  1. Games like this are perfect for making learning fun for kids early on. Their little brains are like sponges, so we need to make sure we give them something to soak up.

  2. This does look like a great game for the littles. I do like the illustrations and think they are so fun to look at, kids would be encouraged to play with it longer.
